At Dee for Dentist, your initial visit is a simple four-step process. Our friendly team is available at every step to guide you through your appointment. From x-rays to a comprehensive exam, our goal is to make sure each patient understands everything we are doing. Never hesitate to ask us questions.
Step One: Registration
At the start of your visit, we'll review your registration forms, including your contact information, medical history, HIPAA authorizations, and office policies. To save time, please print, complete, and bring the below documents to your next appointment.
Complete your RegistrationStep Two: Photos & X-rays
We'll take a series of images of your mouth and a 3D image of your head and neck using the latest digital radiography. These will help us get a detailed look at what we can't see with the naked eye. Plus, going digital means there's no risk of radiation exposure.
Step Three: Comprehensive Exam
After looking over your x-rays and medical history, we'll perform a comprehensive evaluation. This will include:
- Periodontal exam
- Occlusal exam
- Oral cancer screening
- Careful inspection of each tooth
By recording your progress consistently, we can track improvement over time. Doing so can help us prevent possible issues and develop a treatment plan if necessary. Such treatments may be completed by using clear aligners or removing troublesome wisdom teeth.
Step Four: Check Out
Following your comprehensive exam, you'll go to the check-out area to complete any remaining paperwork. Then, we’ll help you schedule your first hygiene visit. Your initial visit should take less than 90 minutes. And that's it! From start to finish.
